报告摘要： In this talk, we describe the general form and the relative commutant algebra of a strongly irreducible operator in type In von Neumann algebras. As a consequence, we affirmatively answer Kaplansky's second problem for the class of operators that are similar to a direct sum of strongly irreducible operators.
报告人简介：蒋春澜，河北师范大学教授、博士生导师，河北省“燕赵学者”。长期从事算子理论与算子代数领域的研究，关于Hilbert空间上强不可约算子理论做出奠基性工作。曾获河北省自然科学一等奖、教育部自然科学二等奖等多项科研奖励，主持国家自然科学基金重点项目等多项科研课题。在《PNAS》、《Adv. Math.》、《J. Funct. Anal.》等重要学术期刊发表论文80余篇。
