Abstract: In this talk, we formulate the three-wave and four-wave kinetic equations within the GENERIC framework. We derive the small-angle limit for a four-wave kinetic operator, which is analogous to the well-known grazing limit from the Boltzmann collision operator to the Landau collision operator. We also show the GENERIC structure of the limiting system.
